Harnessing renewable energy is the key to a sustainable future, and we're committed to bringing green power to life while protecting the environment and the health and safety of our employees, contractors, customers and the public.
Solar power is capable of generating electricity while producing significantly less pollution than traditional energy sources; however, we also acknowledge that our manufacturing processes produce a certain amount of waste. To minimize our impact on the environment, we have adopted a modified Siemens process for our polysilicon production to reduce waste discharge by recycling many byproducts of the manufacturing process. We process all our wastewater and waste gas by various treatments so that they each meet national discharge standards. In addition, most of our solid waste can be reused and does not contain poisonous materials. We have established a pollution control system and installed various types of anti-pollution equipment in our facilities to reduce, treat, and where feasible, recycle the wastes generated in our manufacturing process.
GCL Solar is committed to complying with all applicable governmental regulations and our internal environmental health and safety (EHS) standards. We closely monitor our EHS performance and continuously strive for improvement. We work with the government, business partners, industry and the public to promote best EHS practices and address promptly any EHS issues. |
